Ten years ago today, I was standing in a miniature pool of cold water in the church across the street from my school. My favorite Bible teacher was next to me, asking if I was ready to dedicate my life to a very specific purpose. All of my friends and family were there, watching me make the single most important decision of my life.
Today, ten years later, I reflected on everything between then and now. I've experienced plenty of exciting things. I've experienced a lot of heartache. And I've coasted through a ton of boring days.
I've changed my philosophies on life and love at least a thousand times. I've developed significant feelings about certain issues. And I've gone through what seems like a billion different views on what Christianity is to me.
All that to say, I am my own person. God has given me plenty of opportunities to live, love and grow. It's completely different from the life He's given to anyone else. It's my own to share with Him.
I'm thankful for what He's done over these 10 years, and I'm looking forward to what He's got planned for the next 10.
